Kwikset SmartKey — KW1 and SC1
Optical decoding with the Kwikset LockTech LTKSD2.0. Reads the wafers. I cut a working key. The lock stays in the door if the decoder can see the code.
SmartKey code reset
New combination. Lost key no longer works. New keys cut to the new code.
Swap a conventional lock for SmartKey
If what’s on the door is a standard pin lock, I recommend Kwikset SmartKey. KW1 and SC1 hardware is cheap. You’re not leaving a lock on the house that opens with a pick in seconds.
Spare SmartKey keys
KW1 and SC1 cut on-site after a decode or from a working key.
What I don’t do
I don’t rekey conventional locks. I don’t pin them.I put in affordable SmartKey lock that are UN-Pickable.
What I need from you
Valid photo ID. Proof you belong there — lease, utility bill, or the named owner on site.
Kwikset SmartKey decoded — no lock Destruction
Lost keys on a residential or Commercial Kwikset KW1 or SC1 mechanical smart key locks. I use a Optical decoder on the cylinder wafers read, then a new key is cut to code on KW1 / SC1 smart locks. Door unlocked with the new key. The lock stayed in the door and intact. No destroying Locks
